A front blew through overnight and cooled things down. Steady rain through the run, though thankfully any lightning was a ways off. Low winds.

I felt sluggish to start, and my shoes weren't getting good traction on the wet pavement. I focused on quickening my cadence and relaxing after the 3 mile segment, and the pace dropped without much effort.

I've had a couple of sharp twinges on the outside of my left ankle the last couple days. Not while running. Both times it's happened while sitting down, but I can't make it hurt if I try to repeat the motion. Just noting it in case I see any development. Planning to do some peroneal tendon stretches and ice the area tonight.

Big city loop ending with 7 miles of MP in Audobon Park. Started easy for the first 2, then progressed from 6:40 to 6:10 through 16. I switched to marathon flats back at Audobon for the last 7 miles.

Miles 17-23 in 5:37, 5:43, 5:42, 5:45, 5:41, 5:38, 5:37 for 5:40.4 avg. 6:16 avg for the whole run.

The MP segment felt mostly good, though it got fairly tough the last couple miles. My left quad started to complain quite a bit. I practiced with GUs throughout the run. Took 3 different flavors at miles 5, 12, and 20. No issues with any of them.
