4 x 1 mile @ 10k pace (3:00 rests) + 2 x 30s sprints. I'd wanted to do 5 reps, but there was just no way that was happening. I'm coming down with something. I suspected it last night, but there's nothing like a hard effort to convince you your body isn't right.

5:09, 5:18, 5:14, 5:31

There was a light wind but, as has been a constant this year, I've struggled running solo into the wind early in the morning. #2 & #4 were into the wind.

I started a little quick, and I don't seem to have control of my pacing yet. I was targeting 5:10-5:15, but I could tell before the end that I was accumulating more lactic acid than appropriate. That stuck with  me through the rest.

#4 I got stuck in my well-worn tempo-pace groove and couldn't/didn't want to bust out of it. By that point I was a little woozy.

Anyway, it was AWESOME to run a faster pace. I'm looking forward to more of it.
