AM - 3 easy miles (20:45). The legs are feeling pretty good and the ankle has gone from feeling tendinitis-ish to just feeling like a minor sprain. Tomorrow I'll probably try for a 2 or 3 quicker miles, just to test things out and get the legs back up to speed.

PM - 6.8 miles around Springville. I didn't have a destination in mind, I was just out running. Total time was 47:20.

To test thing, go more miles but slower. It is the quick stuff that aggravates injuries. Also, we are running this Saturday probably at 6:30 AM as usual, but I will let you know for sure if you want to come.

I've been testing with slow miles all week long, and it's making me grumpy! :)

My thoughts are that tempo pace is pretty low stress on the body, especially the calves and ankle, since I land heal-to-toe at tempo pace. Plus, the trail is pretty flat with gentle turns, so there is less terrain stress than the indoor track was giving me. I think today's run was productive, letting me know that I'm okay to race next week.

I'll see you tomorrow morning!
